New Jersey 2-1-1 Launches Mobile Site
New Jersey residents and professionals have a new tool at their fingertips. We are pleased to announce that New Jersey 2-1-1 has launched their new mobile site.
“Finally, a solution to the hard-copy directory for agency professionals on the road,” says Laura Zink Marx, Executive Director. “NJ 2-1-1 Mobile is easy to use and always up to date.”
The NJ211.org Public Portal website is available to any phone with internet access, of course, but adding a dedicated mobile-optimized version helps streamline data display and user interaction on small smartphone and tablet screens.
And agency professionals are not the only ones to benefit from the mobile version. As of March 2012, smartphone usage has increased to 46% of all American adults:
“For businesses, government agencies, and nonprofits who want to engage with certain communities, they will find them in front of a four-inch screen, not in front of a big computer in their den,” reports Aaron Smith, researcher and author of the Pew Internet & American Life Project. Increasingly, mobile devices are the only way to access the Internet for many minority and low income users.
In our increasingly wireless-connected world, it’s good to know the I&R Specialist and anyone needing human service information can now benefit from Resource House Mobile.
