Wendy is a family therapist and former professor of comparative literature. She served over a period of ten years as co-director of The Institute for Family Support and Development and associate director of The National Resource Center on Family-Based Services (Children's Bureau, DHHS). In these capacities, Wendy managed large training, research and technical assistance projects. State agencies, counties, foundations and community-based organizations in more than forty states have benefited from her training and consultation on family-centered practice and organizational development. Wendy oversees North Light's marketing strategy and communications.
Throughout his thirty years in software design and development, David has specialized in developing intuitive user interfaces for complex business tasks. His experience in a wide range of programming environments has yielded business applications for numerous Fortune 500 companies, including Bank of America, Wells Fargo Bank, Pitney-Bowes, Union Pacific and Quaker Oats. At North Light, David is responsible for product development and client engagement.
During Marti’s thirty years in software development, she has directed information technology for AEGON Insurance Group’s Investment Division, and led software development teams, human interface designers and product research for a national consumer software company. Marti served for ten years as president of Procend, a corporation providing custom development, Internet strategy consulting and technology product development services. Her clients included Rockwell Collins, Transamerica Financial Life Insurance Company, Modern Woodmen of America, Intermec Technologies Corporation, Amana Refrigeration, the University of Iowa and Samsung.
Charles Winship is North Light's vice-president for technical support and administration. Charlie has spent three decades in business administration, and has twenty years' experience in software customer support. He takes care of North Light's licensing, technical support and training.
John is proficient in C/C++, Visual C++, VB Script, Java Script, HTML, DHTML and XML and has extensive experience with Microsoft SQL and Oracle database programming. Mr. Rogers defines the technical architecture of the system and oversees the technical implementation of conversions and customizations.
During Karl's 2 and a half decades in the graphics industry, he has worked variously
as a graphic designer, illustrator, production artist, and interface designer.
Karl's work focuses on the simplicity, usability, and accessibility that
are required to create Web-based tools for the broadest range of users.
North Light's product development, customization and data conversion team includes
Jay is the latest addition to our growing Cedar Rapids development team. Jay brings over a decade of SQL database development with experience in C#, Microsoft .NET & XML.
Bob McCreedy leads reporting and data conversion efforts on the development team, utilizing C#, Visual Basic, XML, Javascript, AJAX and Microsoft.NET.
Karen leads interface development efforts of the North Light Software system. Karen has over a decade of web application experience, blending technologies such as C#.NET, XML, Java Script, HTML, DHTML, VB Script, and CSS. She is also is also North Light's accessibility guru, keeping North Light's products on the leading edge in providing accessible software.
Kathy is an AIRS certified resource specialist with extensive experience
in I&R database maintenance and call center operations. She has worked
with the Resource House applications suite for the past ten years. Following
the 2005 Hurricane Katrina disaster, Kathy answered an AIRS listserv email
requesting CRS volunteers to help Mississippi get its 2-1-1 data up on the
Web, fast. She was able to enter her portion of the data in a few hours.
Jess has spent over 15 years in the world of advertising, marketing, project management, and office management. In her current position with North Light, Jess takes care of accounting, payroll, office management, and anything else she can do to help out the team.
Jennifer has been a professional writer for 27 years, working variously as a journalist, PR communicator, ghostwriter and developmental editor. During fifteen years in the advertising and marketing industry, she specialized in translating highly technical content into user-friendly communications. Jennifer writes and edits North Light's newsletters, press releases, brochures and Website copy.
